After much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Aspen Ideas Festival. We choose to prioritize the health and safety of our attendees, speakers, staff, and countless volunteers, and signal our respect for those both locally and globally who are struggling with the consequences of this outbreak.

2020 Programming - We Want to Hear from You!
Planning Aspen Ideas is a year-round effort, and our team has put a tremendous amount of time and energy into programming. While electing to cancel the formal Festival, we are refocusing our energies on exploring new and different ways to bring ideas and conversations to you. A Public Conference
When the Festival resumes in Aspen in 2021, anyone may purchase a pass to attend — the Aspen Ideas Festival is open to all. The Festival features one-on-one interviews, panel conversations, film screenings, and more.

Programming in Aspen
From Aspen Lectures to debates to one-on-one interviews and more, days are filled from early morning to late evening. Attendees have exceptional opportunities to interact with public officials, artists, scientists, authors, business executives, scholars, economists, foreign policy specialists, entrepreneurs, and leaders of all kinds — on footpaths and sidewalks, over lunch on the lawn or coffee at the espresso bar, in auditoriums and in small seminar rooms. The intimacy of Festival gatherings renders the experience unique and unforgettable.
