Leana Wen is an emergency physician, public health professor at George Washington University, and nonresident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. She is a contributing columnist for The Washington Post and a CNN medical analyst. Previously, Wen was the City of Baltimore health commissioner, director of patient-centered care research at George Washington University, and president of Planned Parenthood. She is the author of When Doctors Don’t Listen: How to Avoid Misdiagnoses and Unnecessary Tests and a forthcoming memoir, Lifelines: A Doctor’s Journey in the Fight for Public Health. Wen is on the board of Glaukos Corporation, Bipartisan Policy Center, and Baltimore Community Foundation. She has been named one of Modern Healthcare’s Top 50 Physician-Executives and TIME’s 100 Most Influential People.
